CITY LIFE--COUNTRY LIFE

SHE LIVED IN THE TOWN BENEATH THE CITY

i used to keep sheep.

i had different colored sheep, black, brown and white.

we sheared them, i spun and wove. i still do a little in the winter, it is in my bones to stay.

people used to give me fleece that i washed, dyed and spun...but hardly anyone knows that part of me anymore (especially those with sheep)...so now i have to send away and here is a wonderful place to do that...just in case a follower friend would be interested. you can enlarge to see the address:)) This is how it came in the mail...so pretty, inviting and special...

when i found this in the morning light, i had to do it!

SPUN!

(but i won't let myself spin the rest until it's freezing outside and warm inside by the fire)

Happy Weekend Everyone!

XOXO

So beautiful to see and touch, I understand love of fiber. My daughter spins and Richard built her a spinning wheel that I should post a photo of soon.

You might like a book Called "Sylvia's Farm, (did we talk about this before)??? a woman who chose to farm and raise sheep a true story that I loved so much.

things are always interesting at your house.
