FLYING IN THE ZONE...

THE COMMISSION 3' X 5' is coming along...
in fact, she is further than this...but I promise
to show her either when I am closer or finished.
she has her BLUE CAP now AND
her eyes are correct and changed to other colors as of yesterday...;)

 another work in progress,
cupboard door...this helps me warm up to the giant canvas!

 FINISHED!

 READY TO BUY AND HANG...
it is in my pinterest under,
good art-yep-for sale.
truest colors involving photographs

 "LIFE OBSERVATIONS"

 INGREDIENTS;
substrate: box end with nails remaining
photo transfers
real insect wings
real feathers (as well as transfers)
plaster of paris
paint
glue
my signature (ha, hard to write on crooked boxes;)

WIP, a gazillion layers so far...I might not be able to lift the canvas when I am done...

when I do INDEED finish it!
I am going slower these days,
being patient,
letting my work speak to me,
running my hands over their faces,
I have 6 LARGE pieces that are all in progress,
switching like I do...
while they:
dry, change, call, holler, haunt, dream...
UNTIL THEIR TIME!

OCTOBER and NOVEMBER GIFTS

 Olivia
 Scotty
and Annie,  they live the next acre over.
they and we had so much fun!
they picked out one or two pumpkins, then ended up taking them all...
including the rest of the carrots in our barrel.
They are dolls!

my next finished project on a cupboard door I sanded down,
then painted black...sooo DRAMATIC that color BLACK!
I never thought I would ever use it much, let alone as profusely..
I LOVE THAT BLACK!

these next 5 photos show the painting up close
so that we can see some of the words I used
and maybe an idea of the texture throughout...

 16" X 30"
Cupboard Door

Next up: this is a photo from my own art journal.
I landed another commission.
it is a 3' x 5', the largest I have ever painted.
They want something along these lines...
the girl, the hat, the texture and flowers...

so I proceeded to do a quick painting, close to the one above...
simply to see if I still "got it"
I like her better than the first...
I have already begun the process...
such an EXCITING ENDEAVOR...
always LEARNING and LOVING it!

this is my favorite time of year to photograph the sky
this was one day...
THE MOON
 THE SUN
FINAL SUNDOWN

I hope this finds all my friends heading for some THANKFUL times near the end of NOVEMBER
