CREATIVITY ABOUNDS

 Journal page...
an exciting one!
When I am able to re-purpose my own artwork into a piece,
I am thrilled over and over
each and every time!
That CARDBOARD PIECE, a flower I showed you awhile back...
I printed and cut it, mixed it up and used it for her head piece...YAYYY!
(she's on Pinterest;)

 I BELIEVE THIS, do you?

on a weekend day, my niece Katie called up and asked what I was doing...
WE ENDED UP, each of us making an art journal.
This was her first!
I thought it so terrific!
We had so much fun painting, drawing, stenciling, gluing...
ALL DAY LONG,
from START to FINISH.
this is the FRONT of her journal...

this is the BACK of her journal...

this is ONE of her many pages...

 and another page...
she just dived in and I LOVED watching her EXPLORE,
JUMPING INTO THE DEEP END, right away.
then stepping back and saying,
"show me something else" and
made these ALL HER OWN!

here are a few of my inside pages...

this type of journal gives one a jump start on each page...

 we EXPLORED so much together...
We received the best of both worlds...
LEARNING FROM EACH OTHER...
when we leave ourselves WIDE OPEN for ANYTHING...

 YES, just anything...
one thing leads to another...
and creativity leads to...
more creativity...

 NEXT DAY...

 a BLUEBERRY photoshoot...

 to re-purpose...
INTO
A
PAINTING
that I am working on!
i'll show it soon!

HAPPY, the day after
CINCO de MAYO!

;)

  2. My darling friend! First of all, this is a horrendous week of STRESS; finals are coming up and I have so much to do. I saw our email, and will get to it tout de suite! I missed this post, for here we are on May 7th, and I seemed to miss it.

I love what you've done here, because this is what happens in poetry. One of my favorite approaches that some of us in our poetry group attempted was to take an old draft of a poem, cut up each line or even each word, rearrange them in a whole new syntax, and create a poem out of the mess. IT WAS FUN. Re-purposing a forgotten piece is so deep. It's like us....some people are forgotten, but have so much potential in other areas, new beginnings. Everything has a purpose. And your faith and courage to take an art piece and turn it into something else says a lot about you, the artist. You are willing to let go and start all over again.

PEACE! And I will be back in email...Anita
