SUMMER IS IN FULL SWING HERE!

you may have seen her before, but she got a face lift...
...and I found her words last night late!
Barrel Stave painting with a copper flower, painted silly...
her lovely hat is of chiffon and some cheesecloth I dyed last summer...

Next up...the start of a new mixed media painting, I never ever know how this will end up, not even the colors...just putting on layers and layers.
we had a really busy, hard working fun day involving so many tasks and good laughs.
we spent over an hour at the Auburn Club Car Restaurant in the morning, changing, adding and taking paintings off some walls. Can you imagine being the husband that is helping his wife..."hmm, lets see, over to the right a tad, no, to the left, now down"...he's got patience, I tell you!

these are some of my favorite colors, in case you've never guessed...;)

 here's some of nana's rickrack :

and a lovely little chunk of burlap...

HAPPY WEEK ENDING!

  1. Facelift ha? Did she pay you? Because she should have, because you made her beautiful! And because you made her funny, because you put encouraging blue words on her, and because you gave her a flower hat - all together with the facelift! Ha! I want a facelift too! Can you please give me one????
Yes, I pay you Wandush! :-)

  3. Great combination of textures and colors. Don't forget to change the date on your painting. I asked readers about that and it was unanomous that an artist should change the date to the last re-do of any given painting. I've redone many myself. Can't remember the before but the after is so nice!

  4. Wanda I haven't visited for so long, so it's been great to catch up and see all you've been doing, there are so many gorgeous pieces of art here, it's been a treat to look at all your lovely work, your different ladies are all so different and unique and the way you work with layers and texture as well as color is just wonderful, thanks so much for sharing with us! xx
