It's a FRIDAY...

oops...I had to come back and edit this.
I am going to leave it this way for now.
THIS
is not the elephant I'm giving our daughter!
You may laugh, I am...
I kept looking at this thinking the color is off. What the heck and bingo. This is a second rendition of the first elephant.
I don't have a photo of the first and by husband has my camera in another country! darn!
so later I will post the real one.
YEAH...the joke is on me ;)

YEP!
Its that time of year,
OUTSIDE TIME!
Fresh air,
balmy winds,
the promise of a long hot summer...

so...
THIS IS IT
for now.
I matted and framed it for our daughter Erin to surprise her after she oohed and ahhed over it.

I am also getting ready for the art walk.
GOOD and BUSY times.

WONDERFUL TIMES!
happy weekends ALL
;)

INTRIGUING THURSDAY...

I have been getting prepared for this summers art walk in a nearby town.
I started earlier this year and realized why I get so manic when the date nears (it takes me longer to figure things out than most humans)
And
this is the time when I want to just lay that paper and paint down and do nothing else.
So...I'm still a crazed person till June 3.

My husband Richard just smiles and shakes his head, lucky me ;)

16" x 20" x 1" gallery wrapped

Richard and I read this old journal from cover to cover.
it was a year of a man's life that was helping engineer
railroads.
it was so intriguing and fun and that husband of mine explained just what they were talking about when I didn't understand.
I have already used some of these pages in my paintings...
ack!!! I know, but well...there it is.

this is a section of a large painting.
I just can't get a good photo of it.
you KNOW how that yellow can act!!!

the "smile" is from a full stamp I made and love so much.
again I have to hold myself back from putting it into all my paintings.

 Happy Thursday
