here is a typical example of a happy mistake gone good!
i had painted on the opposite side-
plaster over didn't turn out and it looses
it's plaster charm when one applies too much paint.
so...i flipped it and did this little painted collage.
i really like how every thing peeks through, including the burlap,
so i am keeping it just so, i MAY yellow her ear, yet, and MAY not...we
shall see ;)
i plastered her to a painting book binding...and now...
i have to go ask Richard to help me with a hanger for the back...
he's so inventive, thank goodness!!

Re-Purposed Art Work

so UN scary, finally, to repaint over own work, and very fun to make changes all around
the seed pods, on the left, i found in Seal Beach while strolling with my sisters about 4 years ago!
"listen to everyone"
 "deeply loved" tag

sometimes when we look back on some of our first work...
we may be surprised in so many ways...
i won't go into all that, but am so glad that i have held on
to a few or have photos for remembering...
i learned some new wonders today from myself!
and i hope you have too!

one day Carolyn and i spray painted canvas with wild abandon...
the rest of the many family members present,
SMILED and LAUGHED, wondering, were we crazy?
were we HAPPY...of course we were...
that little sassy pants left me behind with her constant encouraging words, like...
SO ... i did today, i collaged over your spray paint.
but when i am done...your little parts will be peeking through...
making YOUR debut...
my own handmade fabric paper, cloth with text, embroidered fabric, burlap, piece of an onion bag, various papers, eg. musical notes, tissue paper, tea bags, own hand embroidered piece, copies of my own art...
WOW, i realize at this much is going into this piece, it's my whole soul i say...
next up paint...
