Finishes and Random Tricks with my trusty paint BRUSHES ;)

 Finished and Framed ;)

 how she reads...

I remain in GREY LAND still...
I painted a lampshade to change it ;)
nothing is sacred around here, from my gray paint brush these days...

 8" x 24" x 2"
one of my favorite sizes other than
going LARGER which I love too!
there are mucho layers, with tissue paper and fabric
pattern tissue paper peeking through within the buds!

I am going to add some words...

 that go something like this...

"you planted ________ in my heart...
and it's growing WILD!"
CAN'T quite decide on that word yet...open to all
suggestions to everyone, anyone ;))

I have been at some of my oldies and sanding them down to
flat and smooth...I thought this one was hilarious,
my husband said I should just sell it like this,
oh no I am not!

Fall shall come here some day...
;)

Grays and Pillows and Good Wishes with HOPE...

it all started out like this..
Duck cloth, white, gray, and black paint...

then some sewing, ripping and lots of LOVE words...

some musical notes, stencils and free form writing...
then, more LOVE words...

 Viola'...some machine and hand sewing...
one of my work tables coordinate with my pillows now,
and I LOVE THAT!

here are a couple under the windows...

on the bench I repainted and we brought in for extra seating...
still haven't stopped with grays...

I squealed out loud when I found this insect wing while swimming
the other day...it was just asking to be placed on this piece of work
that isn't finished yet. such a perfect fit!

this was the sun going down through the smoke...

this is small idea as to how much we can't see through the smoke...

Fires and drought in California again this summer are wreaking havoc...
so as the sun came up through the smoke yesterday...we left town for
awhile.
we are in no danger whatsoever, and praying for rain.
we are feeling quite GRATEFUL to have our home and families intact.

XOXO

OUR EARTH...

FEATHERS, STENCIL, CHEESE CLOTH and PAPER and
MODELING PASTE (for raised effects)

 CHEESE  CLOTH, STENCIL, PHOTOGRAPH,
and MODELING PASTE

 GOOD WORDS, rose STAMPS,
and modeling paste

 here is what she reads...

it's painted on a box end from a crate...

that I also plastered part of it together, making it an integral part of the painting...
RUSTY WASHER, and other STUFF.
I'LL tell YOU, that I pulled off, from a distance it looks lighter and like a bleached out board, then when you near the wood, on closer inspection, many HAPPY SURPRISES! ;)

 WHIMSICAL, yes...

 IMAGINATIVE, yes...

 a DELIGHT to paint, yes...

I fixed the wheels later, no photo...it went off
to a new great nephew, just born...his mama is in a
ROLLER DERBY of women, and daddy is in
SPECIAL FORCES...he is being deployed at the end of this month,
for the second time, to Iraq (prayers are most welcome)

LOVE TO ALL
