Almost September...

I really really really am going to return here. It will be when I can figure out how to post my photos from my new camera to the same place I always have. FRUSTRATED BEYOND BELIEF I AM. So in the meantime, here is a picture of our only little grandchild, Venna, in her bathing suit and hat. We are happy grandparents.

I am still in the pink (chuckling).

I am almost finished with this piece, 

(frame is drying) 

and then off to the gallery.

 I am working on 2 of these,

and am much further along and

promise to show you the finish!

 While swimming, playing, and good laughs

at Folsom Lake with my sisters...

these darling little butterflies came and landed off and on all day.

They were pink and blue

and only about an inch

so I couldn't get very good pics.

They were unbelievably beautiful.

 I am having so much fun with some products,

it's unbelievable!

Using tissue paper, deli papers

and a gelli print pad

(oh my)

IT'S SPRING! HAVE YOU BEEN BUSY?...

 This is how

 paint went on

 barrel staves.

 They lend 

themselves 

to such

earthy

delight!

 Using:

Plaster

Paint,

paper and words...

 Leaving spots 

in their natural state 

(yet sealed for preservation)

 A few deep and meaningful words,

thoughts,

like;

'JUST BE'

 Sparse amount of

personal altered photos

Ready to hang, wires on the backs (which are painted solid black)

Some of their words:

'inside the heartbeat of creation'

'simple things you already know'

'daydreaming'

and

'nowhere else matters'

THREE MORE DAYS OF MARCH...

 Yesterday

and many days 

for the last 2 months,

it's been raining...

So  I painted my own spring time!!!

There is plaster, acrylics, own altered photos, and painted fabric.

Wahoo,

can't wait to see them finished!

HAVE A BEAUTY OF A WEEKEND

MY FRIENDS

LEAVING THE PAST BEHIND...

 They had to leave their 

place behind.

The house and out buildings,

they improved.

They all grew.

And most saddest of all,

they had to leave

the barn they built 

from the ground up. 

And of course the 

BEAUTIFUL LAND.

They took a little trip

back to see what it

looked like later.

It looked so different.

And their flowers still grew,

even though the land wasn't

beautiful anymore.

ARE YOU MY CREATION...?

Here's what I was thinking. I am in a Co-op gallery right now. I can't show any of my faces, it might conflict with another artist. Soooo...I can NEVER stop doing my faces and this I did today. I am going to make a series along these lines (pun intended) of FACES...BIG FAT FACES. They are in my system and will probably never leave! Ergo...NUMERO UNO

 Aside from the acrylic paint;

fabric, papers, writing with paint.

And very fun working in 3 colors only!
