ANGEL HANGERS...for all year round, and in time for Christmas...

 on one fine day i cut up some 140 lb. watercolor paper

 

 

 

 

 painted and collaged...

 

 

 

 i even took them outside and spray painted...

 

 

 

 added papers, ribbon, cheese clothe...

 

 

 

 and even put them under the sewing machine needle to attach various materials and such...

 

 

 

 and then today, i put on some finishing touches...

 

 

 

 added some wire and beads to turn them into little hangers

 

 

 

posted all of them on PINTEREST

THEY are for sale,

but,

i made each of them specifically for special persons in my circle

of friends, so, if,

they sell, i'll buy more paint,

and if they don't, they will go to that special person.

and...

i love making them and will make more ;)

WIND WHISPERS

 THE START

 

 

 

 Deer Eyes (seed pods found in Panama)

Shells, beads and feathers (found all over the world)...

 

 

 

 

 there has to be a bit of BLUE SEA color...

ergo, the soft chiffon blue and green fabric

 

 

 

 

 in it's fullness...

I just couldn't seem to get a really good shot of how pretty!

 

 

 

 

 it doesn't tangle in the wind,

it should last a long time with wire and fishing line,

there is even a tarnished piece of bent copper we found on the seashore...

 

 

 

 

 it just barely whispers with just 3 Capiz shells on the left end ;)

our Indian Summer is over now and we had our first indoor fire yesterday...

I adore the change in seasons!

i thought this was more of an art ting blog wanda...

so here is a charcoal study i did awhile back, then added some dyed cheese cloth...fun stuff

 

 

 

i have been on pause from this blog...i don't want to be a downer and keep bringing up our life challenges of late...let's just suffice it to say that we put Dad, papa to rest and this photos are the night before as the family has healed together.

Dad/Papa and mom, left a lot of lovin' behind...it was the best of life with them...now onward and upward.

here is a painting that came home last week...

so I altered her and she's so new again,

refreshed, renewed and special...

i have enjoyed re-experiencing my old ways of collage and

have decided to incorporate some of that in my new paintings.

OLD WONDERS

 July of 08, 5 years ago, I had the opportunity to learn from a marvelous special teacher.

so talented, humorous, and a grand human being.

one class was plaster and wax...

and the other on jewelry. I was so grateful for her time, her words, her deepness that I had to send something to her in gratitude.

she even talked me into not backing out of sales night, after my sassy sister told her what was going on.

I made enough sales to pay for my entire trip on this art retreat!

I gathered so much courage from this special person...a GRATEFUL HEART sent her this piece from me.

I sure did surprise her, our birthdays  are only 2 days apart, so I sent it then. I LOVE her deeply, still.

 

 

 Probably 9 or 10 years ago, I made art dolls.

I loved making them...but I started making so many commissions that it burned me out and it lost it's magic for me...

 

 

 my very favorite part was making different costumes

and accessories from them.

this one, I made a rattan crocheted bag and if you peer closely..

she has teeny weeny shells sewn on her dress.

 

 

 

 this was the beginnings of an collage artist ;)

it was so much fun!

 

 

 

 I started making fabric paper as well and dyeing more cheese cloth for the collages..

then I wanted to do my own paintings IN them and OVER the collage...

so I started painting.

 

 

 

 she is going to get a redo...blue face bye bye, soon...

 

 

 

I might start showing my OLD with the NEW. it's really a treat that we have photos saved, eh?

 

 

I've been trying to figure out why my blog seems boring...or maybe it's because so many of us are on face book? I don't really have the magic answer, but shall try to step it up and keep my integrity!
