NOVEMBER WENT FLYING TOO FAST...

This is one of my FAVORITE quotes..(don't have the author)

words came to me this morning...

for her!

"WHEN SHE EMERGED SHE WORE SOUL"

annnnd...you may laugh...at how these two photos are stuck together! I did!
I somehow inserted these together...I will never be a wizard at this computer stuff/skill...hhahaha
But I DO NOT WANT to do it over again ;)
sooooo...
I re-worked this one on a board.
It's an affirmation board that can lean any ol' where.

An old ceiling tile, altered of course ;)
paint, beads, seaweed, wire fabric, paper.

I have been doing so many abstracts lately I can't remember what I have posted!
But this is one of my favorites!
YES, we like our own work, eh?
goes without saying I know ;)

This is one evening last week...
when fireplaces were lit and our first cold showed up,
which is out of the ordinary.
But,
WHAT is ORDINARY or USUAL anymore, anywhere on our earth?

It's just plain ol' PRETTY!

happy rest of NOVEMBER!

CREATING UP A STORM...well, maybe more like fun!

 starting some new paintings...
trying new and old techniques...

 up close of a 5" x 7"
inks and acrylics, fabric and paper...

close up of an ceiling tile...

HAPPY to say I finished this plaster and wax hanging!
the blue portions are painted with no other treatment on them...

It's one of my barrel staves with a hanger on the back ;)

it needed something on the bottom to balance things out...so I did a photo transfer over some chalky paint I made and it turned out like I had thought it might (that rarely happens for me ;)

I continue to find the "happy" the "gratefulness" in each and every day no matter the circumstances. I hope this finds all of you ready for that Thanksgiving Day.

Little Bit of Family and a Whole Lotta' Love...

Play time when I returned from a little trip I took down to Southern California.

5 days without painting...proved fun and delightful!

Little Red Riding Hood in the city
this one I photo shopped ;)
I also did refer to someones painting
but I honestly don't know where it came from, ughh. per usual!

I went to visit these 2 sisters and we met our 3 adult nieces and friend in her cabin in the mountains of Crestline.
You can guess...
we had so much fun!

Here in Seal Beach with Candy, where Cookie lives, while she was at work...

Lake Gregory is through these pine trees...

Riding down the coast with Cookie to Laguna Beach,
where we haunted art galleries and such...

and watched the sun go down with drinks and snacks before hitting the airport.
I love my family!!!

This is here at home!

Thank you
Sharon Tomlinson
Anita Bonita
Tammy Lee

for stopping by and leaving such beautiful words.

TAKING CHANCES...

Most of you know me well enough, TO KNOW that i wasn't fishing for Anything!!!
on my last post ;)
AND
THANK YOU
Lisa DiNunzio
Sharon Tomlinson
and
Anita (castles and crowns)
I LOVED
and
APPRECIATED
your words
TREMENDOUSLY.
and here's what I came up with...
1. maybe i'll just post once a month
2. I really want a free website with my work AND BLOG on it
(but have to find help for that)
3. yes Sharon...it is a good way of keeping a journal and easier!
4. I just read on another artist's blog, a comment someone wrote;
(this is what prompted my post)
she said; "my 5 yr old can paint like you do"
I gasped...I have never had a nasty comment like this (whew)
and the artist's retort;
"then maybe you should sell your 5 yr old's art work and when he gets a blog, please give me his address"
sooo...
I posted on Face Book about this and
I said;
"maybe some people find it easy to jump off a cliff, take major chances, and bare their very soul for the public, I dunno' do you"

pretty much word for word...
DWELLING ON THE POSITIVE
over here.

and
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR FEEDBACK LADIES!
XOXOXO
