FIRST TUESDAY in July...

 With such gratitude I tell you...

this sold on Sunday, before the 
Auburn Art Walk evening. 

Her title is,

"KEEP YOUR CHILDREN'S SPARKLE"

She's painted on the face of a wooden

cupboard drawer.

 The colors are more muted than this.

I just can't get the right lighting.

But love how it turned out.

It is on a board with no fram around it.

I might even add some

A FRIDAY, half way through June...

 a LONG time ago when I found an old piece of wood with nails sticking out all over...

I thought hmmmm…

YES! perfect for some cutesy mixed media painting. 

There are black and white beads hanging on the left,

if you can't tell.

This was very fun to complete!

 This week I had a 

"thank you" 

on 

Face Book

GIVE AWAY.

This was one.

 and this was another...

It was for the 

APPRECIATION

of all my supporters!

 And then

there was this.

There is gold leaf intermixed at the bottom

that doesn't show up in the photo.

 Every winner lives locally,

but for one, a niece!

So now all these people are coming over

and we get to visit!

 I never knew or thought

that so much delight

and endearment would

be attached to this episode.

Each winner left such beautiful

messages.

And with so much excitement!

The only sore point...

not having everyone win.

(sad face)

I did and had forgotten how rewarding

it can be!

I will undoubtedly do this again.

PLAY TIME after hanging some of my art work in a cafe yesterday, June 5, a good Tuesday with friends and husband...a most GRATEFUL LIFE...

These are some of the ones 

I used yesterday to 

intentionally

daub paint

off of other paintings.

 While getting organized

for a new showing

in July...

I ran across this one painting that I really

never liked.

So...

I painted over it and am so excited as to how it appears now!

 This is a close up of the one above.

Trying to show you the wonderful textures

that appeared.

And

the colors peeking through now!

 Here is the next one I painted over

and am in love with the colors!

 There are 3 altogether,

over paintings.

These have left me open for 

WONDERS!

Using more of my left over paint.

Smooshing and putting them on top of one another.

Such fun!

 Then I found an huge 

charcoal paper.

And went to town on it while I had to take a phone call.

It's not like i'll ever run out of collaging

papers, EVAH!

But now I have new fresh ones and will probably weed out some oldies.

This is a constant

'doing'.

We just never know what tomorrow will bring.

And I will try to remember to show you 

the transformations...

 Something a little different

for my style...

Very difficult to photograph.

HELLO AGAIN, in May of 2018...

 I went away for awhile...

It was to repair and heal.

And today,

back at the drawing board...

This piece has been on the back burner...

then bam...

It came to fruition!
