FIRST SATURDAY IN NOVEMBER...

 From my box
of
words...

 Drying in our window...

 How I love
LAYERING.
And then
LAYERING
some more.
Until it all gets
JUST RIGHT.

With:
burlap, cheese cloth, dyed fabrics and
VUNDERFUL
acrylics and textures.

This quote I love!
It is so profound
and
meaningful for we women.

HAPPY WEEKENDER EVERYONE

TOMORROW IS HALLOWEEN...

 Like this backdrop?
hahaha
I sure don't...

 Drying under a window
in the sunshine...

There is a lot of texture,
I say!

Painted deli paper (from left over paints)
Dyed cloth leaves
Cheese cloth
Painted papers (when using my left over paints)
Various fabrics and papers
Acrylic paint

of
Autumn
on the
ole'
homestead.
It has been warm and long
with sunshine,
till today, when it turned a little bit cold!

ONE MORE MONDAY IN OCTOBER...

 Wanda,
what did you accomplish yesterday?

 well...

 I
painted over finished paintings,
because
they
just didn't
have that
"it" factor
for me!

 And
then I did some
"prep" work.
"no, not for meals" (smile)…

ALL
for future art work.
Was it boring?
Heavens no!
I was using left over paint,
listening to music,
having a "devil may care"
attitude,
and
stirring up my
CREATIVE juices
for
TODAY.

As soon as I post this...
I AM ON IT!

Have a marvelous day everyone!

OCTOBER is already almost half over...

 I started an
owl series
 a
couple of days ago...
("start living to change")

 I just haven't
done hardly any series...

 But..
it was so much fun!
And I had to
let the ink dry
in
between each one.

 Next will be
the need to
purchase
mat's and frames
without driving the price up.

Then
hopefully,
as I continue
desperately,
and frustratingly,
to figure out the doggone
comment settings...
so that I might hear from you.
It isn't working right now.

I hope you
ALL
have a beautiful weekend.

Our prayers right now
include those in
the hurricane area.
XO

P.S.
I like to give credit whenever possible.
I took an Tracy Verdugo class
that started all of this.
I think it was called "wonky owls".
So I am sure there is a resemblance,
yet I have been practicing for quite some
time and am trying to go far and away
from her likeness.
And I am starting to exaggerating their ears,
which I think,
brings more personality to each.
Impossible maybe to do so completely.
The inks have the same colors.
And it's not the easiest to completely
alter an owl...
ALTHOUGH...as I continue, who knows.
I was just thinking about a little flowered hat on one of them.
And thought the "art curator" looks like
he's wearing

dapper scarf! (enter smile)

IT'S OCTOBER NOW, in 2018...

Where in the world did I go?
Who knows?
Not me (smile)
All over the place I tell ya'!
I have been working on this one
off and on all day with so
many
interruptions...
called
LIFE!
nOTHING
STANDS STILL...
well maybe rocks, smile.
I put a photo transfer of
pink dragon fly wings
in the left hand top corner.
I will show you
when
completed.

 I stopped to
weave
some papers
today...

 I was flying
too
high
and needed
something to bring
me back down to earth...
These little weavings helped!

 I showed you this earlier
and I really thought it was finished!
Well..
umm..
I got ahold of it again and changed
some lips
and added some more touches.
This is finished now
and hanging on the wall.
It's one of those pieces
that I just may keep...
we'll see as time floats by!

WELCOME OCTOBER

"PLAY IS THE only way the highest intelligence of humankind can unfold" by Joseph Chilton Pearce

 Did you
play
today?

If not...
you better do that
tomorrow
for
sure!

This in my journal today

SUNDAY IN SEPTEMBER...wip

I was so excited this morning when I started her...
and exuberant all the day long!

 All the different
ideas came so easily
at first...

 She is not quite finished...
I couldn't figure out why
the finishing touches were coming so hard...
WELL...
I had to stop and make dinner for the family!

When I got back to her...

Let's just say I ran out of oomph
but I am still
HAPPY
about her!

I will show you when I'm finished.
I needed these photos
to help me in the morning...

Have a WONDERFUL WORK WEEK EVERYONE!

GOOD things coming on a Saturday in August...

When I just don't know where to take the layers...
These things happen...
And i'm lucky in love.
Each 'being' has a word on her chest...
MUSICAL HEARING
LOVE
MY BEST.

SMILES FOR YOU ALL,,,
it's time now!

WHERE HAVE YOU VISITED? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? It's August now...

 I found a board...

 that I could paint...

 and pile on the collage...

and tried out old and wonderful
techniques
that I've always loved...

Making my way
through some
traveling days...

and that board
fit
perfectly
right into a perfect
frame.
Does this happen often?
NEVER,
until now!

FACES on the last Wednesday in June, 2018...

 Practicing
on making
my faces
 organic
or
different
or loose...
Trying to make changes!

This little speedy ditty
is on a torn paper bag.
Trying to get a handle on
how to make more changes...

VITAL FORCES finished on a Sunday...

The colors are more muted than this.
I just can't get the right lighting.
But love how it turned out.

Closer view.

and acrylics.
