AS SUMMER ROLLS ON...

It was so hot for days

upon days...

I couldn't even approach my studio...

nor even think of creating.

Then one day it cooled...

AHHH...

No matter

WHAT

I

paint

or make...

I can never stop making

these angels

(usually in a journal)

Some day...

I should paint a

GIANT ONE!

But for now...

STILL HERE...just out playing!

 It sure is summer time here...

I used inks, paper, acrylics, and a few stencils

 I cut out some flowers for this piece today.

They look so happy!

Darn...this shows up blurry and i'm not sure why.

i do know that we now have "windows 10" and i am having some trouble and it shows up here.

i hope to figure this out sometime soon!

HAPPY SUMMER DAYS!

COMPUTER WIZARD i am not...

 WELL, HOWDY FOLKS..

 Our computers changed to Windows 10 without asking. So I have struggled for days and hours figuring out WHERE and HOW. Everything is intact, but how to figure out the rest has been grueling for this chick!

 soooo......I don't don't know when i'll be able to post again. Loading and finding my photos has been near impossible, and I still can't find them ALL THE TIME, yet! grr..

Each day, i'll continue to put on my little PATIENCE HAT, and try to figure out some more technicalities each and every day and then continue to post here again.

I don't have a photo of the first and by husband has my camera in another country! darn!

I matted and framed it for our daughter Erin to surprise her after she oohed and ahhed over it.

INTRIGUING THURSDAY...

 I have been getting prepared for this summers art walk in a nearby town.

I started earlier this year and realized why I get so manic when the date nears (it takes me longer to figure things out than most humans)

And

this is the time when I want to just lay that paper and paint down and do nothing else.

So...I'm still a crazed person till June 3.

 

My husband Richard just smiles and shakes his head, lucky me ;)

 Richard and I read this old journal from cover to cover.

it was a year of a man's life that was helping engineer

railroads.

it was so intriguing and fun and that husband of mine explained just what they were talking about when I didn't understand.

I have already used some of these pages in my paintings...

ack!!! I know, but well...there it is.

 

 

 

this is a section of a large painting.

I just can't get a good photo of it.

you KNOW how that yellow can act!!!

 

the "smile" is from a full stamp I made and love so much.

again I have to hold myself back from putting it into all my paintings.

are these that look similar to a sewing stitch...

using,

a sewing wheel (old fashioned roller thingy used over carbon paper for patterns)

i like it so much that i want to over use it ;)...but am able to hold back most of the time ;)

 I've been patiently

and not so patiently

working off and on.

taking it slow,

APRIL FOOLS DAY...

 i was working on a little collage last night...

and then i closed my eyes and added the black

with a rigger brush.

when i opened my eyes i saw this little critter

taking shape on the left, adding an eye and a

piece of collage paper on it's face.

this morning i woke up and saw the second

loving face and shall add a little pair of ears

tomorrow.
