Spring does come with such glory, everthing is bursting with the delight of being awake after winter. I always think just when it stats that I still have every single blooming thing to look forward to, then the count down starts and now the crocus are nearly done, I have a small Forsythia, it had a trim last year of the dead branchesm it is pretty with the bright blue Scilla beneath. We are nearly 3 weeks early in the north with spring. It had been 134 yrs since there was a March with no snow. We are also short of moisture.
You have insotired me to buy a plum tree this spring, plum jam is a treat and in mid winter even better.
If you would like to read a wonderful book about a woman farmer who rasies sheep. "Sylvia's Farm" is so good a story of herself, the author, and I fail on her last name. She writes about the mot common of things and you feel as you want to do them.
Thank you for great photos, and thoughts of plum jam.
What a great plum tree. Think I have never actually seen one before and love the beautiful flowers! We used to have a sour cherry tree that produced the most beautiful pink flowers and we would bake the most delicious cherry pies!
