The Girl with the Blue Umbrella

it is 4:30 in the morning...i couldn't sleep, so i got up at 3:00...
i didn't paint this collage piece, i painted in miz katie's collaborative journal...
which i shall not divulge here...she's gotta have at least one surprise in her book, eh?
and so here is the Blue Umbrella..
it reads:
they said: "there is no rain"...
she said: "i know"
they asked: "then why do you carry that umbrella?"
she said: "i'm always ready to fly!"
as she wandered off...
"hmm...they said nothing about my skirt"...
you can zoom in for a closer view

  3. I love her and I think she must be outside at our house. We have had grey and rain for the past month I think. :( Maybe if I paint a giant sun and flowers today it will work. :)

  4. This made me smile, I thought of the big purse I carry at times and think that the size of the purse has nothing to do with an amount of money.

I am always painting pictures that have to do with rain at least painting them in my head. I call them rain Pleas. For me your beautiful painting is a rain plea.

I also know about not being able to sleep. Not last night tho.
I was exhausted from an art fair and garage saleing.
