Holy Moly, now i know the meaning of giving birth to a painting, make that two! After showing these a while back (forever) as work in progress...they were almost a scourge to me.
they have been turned against 3 different walls, then turned back around, they were touched up and re-touched in eensy increments...i screamed, no they are wrong, this is wrong, that is wrong...well then richard made me beautiful frames and painted them...and then they were okay and then...yesterday i looked at the music sheets and all the subtle colors and then woke up this morning completely in love...crazy huh?!
I'm going this week to the gallery to exchange paintings, so there will be new and fresh faces litterally and then as i looked at these 2 this morning, i thought...if they don't sell i'd love them on our walls and they make me think of my sister and i, with so much depth and history to tell...Crazy huh?!

Acrylics, painted torn paper, torn sheet music, ink, stencils, tears, laughter, screams, delight....yeah, you get the picture!!!
she reads:
Oh my goodness!! I agree with you completely!! Awesome--I'm smiling!!
ReplyDeleteNo you're not crazy. I usually end up loving the ones that give me the most trouble or the ones that I want to trash. These two are Gorgeous. I love the black background too.
ReplyDeleteI am madly, crazy in love with them, also. And, I don't blame you for wanting to keep them..not at all. Sometimes, there's just too much blood, sweat, and tears to hand them over in exchange for $$. I have a few I haven't offered for sale, just for that reason. Worked too darn hard on those buggers. lol
ReplyDeleteThey are simply wonderful and wonderful frames that just made the work so right. I would not want to sell them either, but still show them. it feels so good to get the inspiration and idea right and it takes some time, not always but sometimes we just hit a stuck point. what feels also so good...that you like them. It is a burst in the heart to like what we do. The colors are just right also. So much fun sseeing them.
ReplyDeleteWanda, you have really outdone yourself! These are gorgeous! I love the subtle yummy textures and the rich color.
