it is so astounding to me how...some of our pieces come so easily and some NOT...but in the end i am so relieved and grateful for all i have learned.
my next post is going to be in the same vein (length of time) but am going to show how it just wasn't there, and then "oh no I've wrecked it" and then...no i haven't...and AGAIN, the learning, the wonder of learning, the outstanding learning learning learning...
i am trying desperately to stay connected and yet not always visiting you, yet...such hard stuff going on...YEAH...
ART IS HEALING.
XOXO
Your sister better scream when she sees this, this is just the most charming, just like engaging with a person this painting makes you understand language better.
ReplyDeleteIt warms my heart. I will tell you this, warming my heart after the temps we have had this summer is no easy task. I hope your doing the artist dance around your studio.
Also thinking of you these days as you have this summer of concern.
I hate myself for thinking this but at times when I have to worry and feel fearful it seems easier in the winter. How goofy is that?
Wanda, I had to come see and you are right we are paralleling (is that a word?) Anyway, I like so much your painting. And I have added you to my blog list. So that means, more posting ;0
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, Wanda!

Wonderful painting-as always! Yes, yes art is healing!! I'm sending you a hug, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. No matter how many we create or how long we've been creating, there is learning with each piece we do. Yes, and some come easy and others we struggle with. It's all part of being an artist.
ReplyDeleteThe birds with their healing power of song, with their freedom of flight presented her with the wings and all the positive attributes!
ReplyDeleteShe is blessed!
With the first twitters of the little birds I get up in the morning.
On our hikes I enjoy the big ones, the eagles and vultures at the Golan Heights. The doves clean their feathers in the tree near my kitchen window and the hummingbirds enjoy the nectar from its blossom. The sparrows pick the grapes from the overgrown pergola and the black birds sing on the lawn in the garden. In spring and autumn we love seeing the storks flying overhead on their migrating ways.
Yes, the birds...
May they give you pleasure and strength Wanda!
Yes indeed art can heal. when we get lost in the creating, when we use our art to explore, to reinvent, to understand - often getting new insights, seeing things in new ways. we are lucky that we have this 'therapist' to go to and then we get to share our art work and it brings healing to others - what wonderful stuff this art making is!
ReplyDeleteart is indeed healing,
ReplyDelete& she's lovely!
xoxo
She's beautiful, love all the words. And yes art is healing.
ReplyDeleteYes it is!
ReplyDeleteI hear you, about things taking so long sometimes. I got out a canvas yesterday that I've been working on and setting aside for months! And it's still blank!!
(just kidding...it has stuff on it)
I hope when mine is done, it looks as luscious and pretty as yours! Otherwise, I'm going to be angry.
