SOUS-CHEF DAYS...(photos can all be enlarged)

 There was this paper bag
floating
around in my studio
for days, maybe weeks.
It wasn't just a brown grocery bag...

 It had texture,
was light weight,
and
LARGE.
I had to do something with it
TODAY!
YAY!
(actually, that was yesterday)

 oOH
GET a load of those gloppy drips...
I LOVE THEM!

 Now
TODAY...
Someone gave me the sweetest card,
(just because)
i altered it a bit with left over paint.

 On to the old story...
"LEFT OVER PAINT".
I cannot waste.
I took some deli papers, using them as printing papers
and dabbed over the start of these cards.
Voila!
I was actually excited as they lightened up
and weren't so doggone dark anymore. ;)

 And
then...
and yet again...
One of those HAPPY ACCIDENTS!
My flower turned into an abstract
BLUE BUTTERFLY!
(you can bet i'll either be using this IN a painting collage, or will turn it into
it's deserving right...a true framed painting.

These are some of  the deli papers i used
to print on top of other paintings.

And YES, I did notice that
GORGEOUS MORNING LIGHT
coming from our windows!

I promise to show some mixed media pieces
that shall come to fruition, as soon as possible.
For now, you can laugh...

Some of us are SOUS-CHEFS when it comes to some of our work. Certainly not all, but lots.

So when the public asks:
'how long did this take you, how'd you do that, where did you get that, what is that?'
My answer:
Sometimes i just don't know, truly.
As the days roll on, and one is experimenting, and open to
CHANGE, anything goes...
JUST DO IT,
day in and day out till you figure it out/or not; but
HAVE FUN IN THE MEANTIME!
