This is for a very special friend of mine...i can post it here to share as she doesn't have a blog, she isn't on face book and she doesn't even own a cell phone...her name his janet and yes, she's from this planet...only she doesn't care about all that stuff...amazing in many ways!
The substrate is a thin rusted ceiling tile: a picture of my painting on postcard, a torn piece of paper out of a bible, a twig, tatted and crocheted thread by my "nana" once again, some random flower stiches with the machine and various other little wonders!
lucky friend!!!
ReplyDeleteboth for the art
& for your friendship!

Janet will be thrilled with a meaningful gift such as this, I had to click close up and then close up again to see the delicateness of the arrangement you created. Most lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou know I admire Janet, to choose to not complicate things with things that are suppose to make life easier. I do love the internet, I do love the people I talk with through blogging, and right now with a broken leg it is sort of a lifeline to the outside.
It is a place to go when I am feeling stranded, someone always has something new to share and say and I can respond.
Tiyr ibe of those people, I can come here and say things to you and you would be OK if I just said hi and told youhow I felt on a particular day, however you most always have some new artful work to show so the distraction takes my mind on pleasant journeys.
Wanda she will love this! Its wonderful! Great work! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice that you included your grandmother's tatted and crocheted thread in your collage. It is lovely and your friend will adore it.
