this is my new painting partner...every wednesday...for a few hours before i run off to work...her name is ANNIE! she lives next door...while her mama goes to work in her older children's classrooms, annie and i go to town with our paint!!!
i just finished this for a friend that asked me to make a wine hanger...it's a miracle i got it done, while trying to work on my lessons...! this can be enlarged twice to really appreciate it and read the words.
Thursday night sundown...couldn't resist to take more photos again...soo beautiful!
it looks like the lovely annie has been painting the sky :)
ReplyDeletehow lucky you are to have such a painting partner!!!

Beautiful little hanging painting. I love how you make these. Annie is in her element. I once painted pix on the floor with an eleven year old. About the best day of my life!!

I love how children are when they get lost in their art--no rules and they are happy with everything they do--ooh I love that--keep painting with Annie--she'll be your teacher!
ReplyDeleteP.S. great art by you too lady!!
P.S.P.S. and you know I love those sunsets :)
Your new painting partner is a cutie. Oh I love the wine hanger too--and your sunset pic is awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnnie has a sunset of her own going there, just wait till you teach her how to paint eyes.
ReplyDeleteI see seduction in that little painting, it is so pretty, her darling mouth.
When you hae sunsets that look like that have you had windy days?
That is how we get red sunsets from wind, not so much with snow on the ground but days then there are dust particles in the air.
I hope your having a great Saturday and tell Annie we want to see more of her work.
Annie!! You are so lucky, Wanda. I can only imagine how much she will teach you about art..and life. Aw! Man, I LOVE kids. sigh.
ReplyDeleteAnd, that wine hanger..it doesn't get more authentic than that. You didn't need to sign it for me to know you did the work..omgosh, your style is showing through on everything you do now..you've definitely got it going on, girl.
Beautiful sunset, too. We've been having a couple like that, lately. I haven't taken any photos cuz the view isn't so great from my house..too many ugly houses, light poles, wires, and trees in the way. Again..you're so lucky. :)
Wow what gorgeous pictures of the sunset. How beautiful!Really like your blog!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to meet your painting partner and so nice of you to help out her momma. Annie already looks like she's an artist! Those pictures of the sunset are gorgeous! And so is your hanger. I'm sure your friend will be thrilled with it.
ReplyDeleteCutie patooie painting partner. Awesome wine hanger!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving these photos! Trees (my favorite), kids (my favorite), SKIES (my favorite!). And you are so wise to take those classes now! I didn't know you were ready to retire, but you will have a lot more tools at your disposal now!
