This is a picture of an art doll I made a LONG time ago...
I transferred her onto to hardboard for my sister Candy...
and I am surprising her with her very own journal...
to take with us to Santa Catalina, Panama this summer...
this is one of the pages in Candy's journal...
there are many different ones, painted and plain...
she can draw, write, paint and place photos in it
to her heart's content.
I can't wait to surprise her...;)
in between drying time on the other journal...
I made another very simple one for myself.
this is the front...
and this is the back ;)
this one is for painting at home or drawing away from home
and then I decided to make my own journal this week to take to Panama...
the colors turned out so gorgeous...I decided to paint it on some
Heavy Watercolor paper for a background to paint on...it feels real
chalky and toothy...something I crave to paint on!
and now the change for our window frame...
it's FEBRUARY after all
I painted a little card stock for this month...
spied these on the internet...
the little tab underneath reads,
"if you love someone, let them nap"

ReplyDeletecan't believe Katie. this really will probably be the last time. unless they continue a real road to the carribean side of the island. my sister candy wants to go before "we all croak off the face of the earth". and she is my most avid body surfing partner ever. every time I reach that warm soft ocean, I think of her instantly. xoxo
